§ 35.032 ORGANIZATION AND COMPOSITION.
   (A)   The committee shall consist of seven members appointed by the County Council. The members shall serve for terms of three years, and until their successors are appointed and qualify, except that of those members initially appointed four appointees shall be appointed for terms of three years and three appointees shall be appointed for terms of two years. Vacancies shall be filled in the manner of the original appointment, for the unexpired term. A majority of the committee members shall be appointed from the hospitality industry in the county. A majority of the committee members shall be appointed from the area of the county from which a majority of the revenue is derived. One member of the committee shall represent the cultural organizations of the county. No member shall be appointed to serve more than two full consecutive terms on the committee. Previous service on the committee for a full term shall be counted in determining a member’s service on the committee for purposes of the limitations established by this section, but partial terms of service on the committee shall not be considered for purposes of the limitations contained in this section. No member shall be reappointed to the committee after serving two consecutive terms until a minimum of one year has elapsed since the last service of the member on the committee.
   (B)   Members of the committee shall serve without pay, but meals and other incidental expenses may be provided by the county; subject, however, to the rules, policies and procedures established by the County Council for agencies, boards, commissions and committees.
   (C)   The Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee shall adopt by-laws and rules of procedures and shall maintain records of all proceedings.
   (D)   The committee shall meet at regular intervals as may be determined by the committee. The chairperson or a majority of the members of the committee may call special meetings of the committee at any time. Any member who shall be absent from 50% or more of the meetings of the committee during any calendar year shall be deemed to have forfeited his or her membership on the committee and shall be removed without further action by the committee. It shall be the responsibility of the committee secretary to notify the committee of the offending member and the County Council of the absences, removal and vacancy, and the County Council shall fill the vacancy created thereby in the manner of the original appointment for the unexpired term of the member.
