Full-time regular county employees and elected and appointed county officials and judges having ten or more years of full-time continuous service shall receive a monthly longevity allowance in addition to their regular compensation. An employee’s or official’s years of full-time continuous service transferred from employment with another county, municipality, state or political entity created by the state, may contribute to eligibility for the longevity allowance provided herein. Longevity allowance shall be paid according to the following schedule:
