All county employees resigning from county employment are requested to furnish notice of their intention at least two weeks (14 calendar days) before the effective date of resignation. The notice should be submitted to the appropriate department director and Human Resources. Failure to give and work (or utilize approved leave) the two-week (14 calendar days) notice shall be noted in the employee’s personnel file and may result in the loss of payment for accrued annual leave. The requirement to work the two- week notice may be waived if absence is due to unavoidable medical reasons or if department director chooses to waive the requirement.
