The developer shall prosecute the work to completion without undue delay except for inclement weather or other reasonable cause. Delay in the completion of the work beyond the period stated in the agreement, unless an extension hereof is approved by the city council and the surety company, may result in forfeiture of the cash deposit and/or security or a portion thereof for the completion of the work.
