SECTION 87. EFFECTIVE DATE OF CHARTER.

For the purpose of nominating and electing members of the Council, the provisions of this Charter shall be in effect for any regular municipal election held not less than fifty days from and after their approval by the electors of the Village. For all other purposes this Charter shall be in effect from and after the second Monday next following the first election of members of the Council thereunder.
