(a) Taxicabs licensed by the Village may be equipped with a taximeter, the type, installation and operation of which shall be subject to the inspection and approval of the Village Manager and the Police Chief.
(b) Any taxicab lacking a meter may operate on the basis of a flat rate system.
(c) The rate schedule shall be posted in such fashion as to give all customers advance notice of the charges to be applied.
(d) Whether a taxicab operates on the basis of a meter or a flat rate scale, the operator shall at all times keep a copy of the current rates on file with the Clerk of Council.
