SECTION 18. APPOINTMENT OF VILLAGE MANAGER.

The Council shall by majority vote of its members appoint a Village Manager who shall be an officer of the Village and who shall have the powers and perform the duties provided in this Charter. No elected official of Yellow Springs can be the Village Manager until two years after leaving office. The two year period of separation eliminates the appearance of impropriety or undue influence.
