(a) The provisions of this chapter shall be construed liberally for the accomplishment of the purposes hereof. Nothing contained in this chapter is intended to conflict with any general law of the State or of the United States and particularly with the statutes providing for the administration of the law by the Ohio Civil Rights Commission under Ohio R.C. Chapter 4112.
(b) If any of the provisions of this chapter or portions thereof or the application of such provisions or portions to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of this chapter and its application to persons or circumstances other than those to which it is held invalid shall not be affected thereby.
