626.04 FAIR HOUSING COMPLIANCE OFFICER.
   The Village Manager shall designate an appropriately qualified, full-time employee of the Village to be the Fair Housing Compliance Officer. The Compliance Officer shall be responsible for:
   (a)   Receiving complaints concerning illegal discrimination in housing;
   (b)   Conducting investigations using all the powers and capacities accruing to the office;
   (c)   Acting to mediate or conciliate any disputes arising over allegations of illegal discrimination in housing;
   (d)   Submitting written reports to the Manager and/or Council as needed or requested; and
   (e)   Advising complainants in the full exercise of their legal rights under the terms of this chapter.
