(a) An annual wage increase for classified employees may be granted, with Village pay scales being adjusted, according to the procedure set forth below.
(b) Any adjustments will be made to, and be included in, the base pay rates. As adjustments are made, the entire pay scale will be recomputed.
(c) In December of each year, the Village Manager shall make a recommendation to Village Council on the amount of annual adjustment. The Village Manager will consider the following in making this recommendation:
(1) The amount of increases given by other Greene County Public Employers;
(2) Changes in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) Midwest Region; and
(3) The Village's current economic condition.
(d) Village Council will consider the Manager's recommendation and shall authorize by resolution any adjustment to the Village pay scales.
(e) Any increase shall be effective on the date set forth on the resolution, which date may be retroactive it so provided in the resolution.
