In addition to the penalties provided elsewhere in this Building and Housing Code for a violation of this Building and Housing Code, Council shall have the right, through the Village Solicitor and on behalf of the Village, to seek, in a court of competent jurisdiction, to enjoin the continuation of work which is not in compliance with this Building and Housing Code and to abate buildings and/or structures, or parts thereof, which have already been built, altered or repaired in a manner which violates any of the provisions of this Building and Housing Code.
