Plan Examination Fees
Plans Examiner
$54 per hour, or any part or at such additional rate per hour as determined by the City Manager, based upon the actual cost of the examination, as the cost may change from time to time.
The first hour shall be prepaid at the time the plans are submitted, and the balance paid by the applicant when the permit is issued.
The Plans Examination Fee shall be in addition to the Building Permit Fee.
If any additional fees are not paid when due, the applicant may be cited into a court of competent jurisdiction and charged with a minor misdemeanor.
The fees received under this subsection are not refundable after the plans have been delivered to the Plans Examiner for review.
Fees for Plans Requiring Outside Examination
One-third (1/3) of the Building Permit fee, shall be paid with the application for all plans requiring an outside plans examination.
The balance shall be paid when the permit is issued.
Should the Building Permit not be issued for any reason, the prepaid one-third fee will be applied toward any additional hours for the plans examination and administrative costs.
Forfeiture of Fees
If the plans are approved and the applicant does not pick up a permit within ninety (90) days, the approval will be rescinded and all fees paid will be forfeited.
Reopening the permit will require a resubmittal of the application and plans, repayment of any fees and reprocessing through the plans examination procedure, at the option of the City.

The above fees shall not apply to the following installations:
   -   Three or fewer two-wire outlets to existing electrical installations.
   -   A single three-wire outlet for an electrical range, a dryer or an air conditioner.
Inspections of such installations not subject to the schedule of fees may be made at the request of the contractor, owner or tenant upon payment of the minimum fee by the person making the request.
Surcharge for Commercial Construction
3% as mandated by the applicable provision of OAC 4101:2-1-50, as amended. The sum for all plans examinations and permits for commercial construction is to be collected by the City at the time of the issuance of the permit and remitted to the State, as required by law.
Reinspections
Where additional inspections are necessary because of incomplete or faulty work, an incorrect address, failure to keep an appointment or for similar reasons, the following shall apply:
