§ 1064.05 FALSE 911 CALLS.

   (a)   Definitions. The following words and/or phrases used in this section are defined in Chapter 1059, § 1059.01.

   (b)   False calls.

      (1)   No person shall knowingly use the telephone number 911 other than in an emergency situation, or cause or allow another to use the telephone number 911 other than in an emergency situation.

      (2)   The 911 Coordinator shall monitor the number of false calls to which the Police and/or Fire Divisions respond, keeping a record of the same. Such record shall indicate the date of any false call to which the Police and/or Fire Divisions respond, the name and address of the subscriber to the telephone service from whose telephone number the false call originated, the time of the false call and any additional information deemed necessary by the 911 Coordinator.
