§ 1042.35 WATER FROM FIRE HYDRANTS.
   Water may be taken from a fire hydrant after fitting the hydrant with a special gate valve. The applicant shall obtain a proper temporary permit from the office of the Division of Water and Wastewater in order to schedule installation. The applicant will be subject to applicable fees for the installation of the gate valve, meter, and backflow preventer. The Water Division will provide installation and removal services for these elements. A refundable security deposit will be required at the time of permitting. Any damage to public or private property, including damage to the hydrant, valve, meter or backflow preventer, that may result from such use, shall be charged against the applicant. All water consumed shall be paid for at the rate as set forth in the fee schedule in Part Two - Title Twelve, Chapter 298 of these Codified Ordinances.
