All meters must be sealable, must be of a type approved by the Division of Water and Wastewater and must be placed so as to be accessible at all times. If the stop and waste valve is buried in the ground, the meter must be placed at the stop box near the curb. When plumbing is extended over 150 feet from the main water line, the meter must be installed in an approved well at the curb. Failure to comply with the above specification will result in the discontinuance of the water supply.
