§ 1042.19 TURNING ON WATER; FEE.
   (a)   A plumber may turn on water for testing purposes, but the curb stop must be left, at the completion of the work, in the same position as it was found at the beginning of the work. Plumbers will not be permitted to turn water on for permanent use at any service, and in all cases where water has been turned on by the plumber without permission of the Division of Water and Wastewater, the plumber or the contractor shall, in addition to other penalties specified in this chapter, be held responsible for all unpaid water rents occurring from such service previous to the discovery of such violation and shall be held liable therefor.
   (b)   The fee for turning on water to an existing meter previously shut off for any reason shall be as per a schedule established by the Director of Public Service. This fee is as set forth in the fee schedule in Part Two - Title Twelve, Chapter 298 of these Codified Ordinances.
