The driver of any taxicab shall, upon request of any passenger, render to such passenger a receipt for the amount charged, either a mechanically printed receipt or by a specially prepared receipt, on which shall be denominated the name of the owner, the license number or motor number of the taxicab, the amount of the meter reading, the total charge or charges and the date of the transaction.
