(a) Any person regulated by this chapter shall apply to the city and swear before a notary public that all information provided on the application form is correct. The applicant shall state what manner he intends to travel and trade or to conduct business, his address, and, if employed, the name and address of his employer, the applicant's physical description, and a statement as to the previous convictions for violations of the law. The City Manager shall determine standards for issuance or denial of a permit.
(b) Concurrently with the filing of the application, the applicant shall pay as set forth in the fee schedule in Part Two - Title Twelve, Chapter 298 of these Codified Ordinances.
(c) Upon compliance of the foregoing provisions of this section, the City shall forthwith stamp the original of the application and deliver the same to the applicant for identification hereinafter provided. Such application shall also be stamped with the date of expiration of the registration which in each case shall be 12 months after issuance.
(d) Every holder of a license, when engaged in soliciting orders for or selling goods, wares, merchandise, or services upon any lot or land of any residence or business in the City shall, upon the request of any owner, occupant, or municipal official exhibit for examination his or her credentials pursuant to the provisions of this chapter.
(e) Issuance of a license to solicit goods, wares, merchandise, or services by and within the City of Xenia shall not be construed as an endorsement by the City.
