§ 660.15 ENFORCEMENT.
   The City Manager shall assign to the appropriate city administrative official the enforcement of the provisions of this chapter. Upon learning of the existence of a violation of any of the provisions of this chapter, other than a provision of § 660.03, the administrative official shall notify the offender, in writing, to remove or abate the condition creating the violation within three days of the service of the written notice. In the event of the refusal or neglect of the offender to obey such order within the time prescribed by the notice, the administrative official may have the prohibited condition removed or abated at city expense, which expense shall forthwith be certified to the Director of Finance. The Director of Finance shall cause a lien to be placed upon the property where the prohibited condition existed by certification to the County Auditor of such expenses of removal or abatement, to be collected as an assessment according to law. The remedy provided for herein shall be in addition to penalties otherwise provided for violations of the provisions of this chapter.
