§ 620.99 PENALTY; EQUITABLE REMEDIES.
   (a)   Whoever violates any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
   (b)   In any proceeding where the court determines that there has been a violation of any of the provisions of this chapter, the court shall award compensatory damages and, where appropriate, punitive damages of not more than two thousand dollars ($2,000.00), along with attorney’s fees and court costs. The court may also order such other relief as it may deem necessary or appropriate, which relief may include, but is not limited to, the issuance of any permanent or temporary injunction, temporary restraining order or other order.
   (c)   Nothing contained in this chapter shall prevent any person from exercising any right or seeking any remedy to which that person might be entitled or from filing any complaint with any other agency or court of law or equity.
