FIRE LANE means, in public and private parking areas, the space between the lined parking space and the building or curb where a FIRE LANE is designated by a yellow curb or a painted yellow line on the driving surface and/or so identified by a sign affixed to the building or a post. The area designated as a FIRE LANE shall be at least 20 feet in width.
