244.05 DIVISION OF PUBLIC SERVICE MAINTENANCE.
   (a)   Establishment. There is hereby established with the Department of Public Service, a Division of Public Service Maintenance, which shall be under the direction and control of the City Manager and is administered by the Public Service Maintenance Superintendent.
   (b)   Public Service Maintenance Superintendent. The Public Service Maintenance Superintendent shall oversee the proper maintenance of all streets, streetscape appurtenances, parks, City facilities, fleet and related apparatuses, water distribution, sewer collection, and storm sewer collection appurtenances. The Public Service Maintenance Superintendent shall maintain accurate records and ensure compliance of said operations with state and federal environmental and safety requirements; shall participate in the capital planning functions related to infrastructure systems for which he or she has maintenance responsibilities, providing plans for recommend improvement programs; shall advise Council and City officials on all matters related to maintenance functions referred to him or her; shall perform such duties as are provided by law or ordinance; and, in addition thereto, such other duties as from time to time may be imposed upon him or her by the Public Service Director.
