(a) Terms beginning January 1, 2020. Members of Council, including the Mayor, whose terms begin on or after January 1, 2020, shall receive an annual salary as follows:
(1) For 2020, four thousand four hundred two dollars ($4,402);
(2) For 2021, four thousand five hundred thirty-four dollars ($4,534);
(3) For 2022, four thousand six hundred seventy dollars ($4,670);
(4) For 2023, four thousand eight hundred and ten dollars ($4,810).
In accordance with the City Charter, these increases do not exceed three percent (3%) per year.
(b) Terms beginning January 1, 2022. Members of Council, including the Mayor, whose terms begin on or after January 1, 2022, shall receive an annual salary as follows:
(1) For 2022, four thousand four hundred two dollars ($4,402);
(2) For 2023, four thousand five hundred thirty-four dollars ($4,534);
(3) For 2024, four thousand six hundred seventy dollars ($4,670);
(4) For 2025, four thousand eight hundred and ten dollars ($4,810).
In accordance with the City Charter, these increases do not exceed three percent (3%) per year.
(c) Terms beginning January 1, 2024. Members of Council, including the Mayor, whose terms begin on or after January 1, 2024, shall receive an annual salary as follows:
(1) For 2024, four thousand nine hundred fifty-four dollars and thirty cents ($4,954.30);
(2) For 2025, five thousand one hundred two dollars and ninety-three cents ($5,102.93);
(3) For 2026, five thousand two hundred fifty-six dollars and two cents ($5,256.02);
(4) For 2027, five thousand four hundred and thirteen dollars and seventy cents ($5,413.70).
In accordance with Section 4.05 of the City Charter, these increases do not exceed three percent (3%) a year.
(d) Terms beginning January 1, 2026. Members of Council, including the Mayor, whose terms begin on or after January 1, 2026, shall receive an annual salary as follows:
(1) For 2026, four thousand nine hundred fifty-four dollars and thirty cents ($4,954.30);
(2) For 2027, five thousand one hundred two dollars and ninety-three cents ($5,102.93);
(3) For 2028, five thousand two hundred fifty-six dollars and two cents ($5,256.02);
(4) For 2029, five thousand four hundred and thirteen dollars and seventy cents ($5,413.70).
In accordance with Section 4.05 of the City Charter, these increases do not exceed three percent (3%) a year.
(e) Mayor and Council President. In addition to the compensation received as a Council member, the Mayor and the President of Council shall each receive an additional five hundred dollars ($500) per year, as set forth in City Charter Section 4.05. If the Mayor is elected as the President of Council, he or she shall be entitled to receive an additional one thousand dollars ($1,000) a year in total.
(f) Limitations. Any adjustment to the compensation of the members of City Council, including the Mayor, shall be subject to the limitations contained in ORC 102.03 and the Council is prohibited from enacting any ordinance that grants any member of Council, including the Mayor, an in-term increase in compensation.
