(a) The City hereby establishes a fund to be known as the DUI Enforcement Fund.
(b) The DUI Enforcement Fund shall receive a portion of fines received from courts for arrests involving DUI offenders and such funds shall be used for court costs incurred in enforcing Ohio R.C. 4511.19 et seq., and similar municipal ordinances and in informing the public of the laws governing operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, the dangers of operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and other information relating to the operation of a motor vehicle and the consumption of alcohol beverages. (c) The Finance Director and/or the Police Chief is hereby authorized to make deposits to and to distribute funds from the DUI Enforcement Fund as provided for in Ohio R.C. 4511.19. (Ord. 8-2001. Passed 1-16-01.)
