Minimum standards of alignment shall be as follows:
(a) Vertical - For thoroughfares and important neighborhood streets profile grades shall be connected by vertical curves of a minimum length, measured horizontally, equivalent to fifteen times the algebraic difference between the rates of grade, expressed in feet per hundred; for minor streets and alleys, one-half that minimum.
(b) Horizontal - Radii of centerline curvature:
(1) Thoroughfares: 500 feet.
(2) Important neighborhood streets: 200 feet.
(3) Minor streets: 100 feet.
There shall be a tangent between reverse curves of at least 100 feet, wherever possible. In any case, standards shall be such as to produce visibility to the satisfaction of the City Manager. (Ord. 12-2012. Passed 10-15-12.)
