For purposes of this Chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings:
(a) “Abut” or “Abutting” means any land that borders a carriagewalk, drivewalk, driveway approach, gutter, sidewalk, street, or tree lawn.
(b) “Carriagewalk” means the paved portion of the street right-of-way set aside for pedestrian use lying between the established or presumable curb line and extending to the sidewalk where a sidewalk exists or between the established or presumable curb line and the property line where no sidewalks exist.
(c) “City Manager” means the City Manager of the City of Wyoming or the City Manager's duly authorized representative thereof.
(d) “Driveway Approach” means the paved portion of the street right-of-way set aside primarily to permit vehicular access to a driveway lying between the established or presumable curb line and the adjacent drivewalk where a drivewalk exists or between the established or presumable curbline and the property line where no drivewalk exists.
(e) “Drivewalk” means the paved portion of the street right-of-way set aside for pedestrian use lying between the established or presumable curb line and the adjacent property line and between the driveway approach and the driveway
(f) “Gutter” means the paved portion of the street right-of-way directly adjacent to the established or presumable curb line or a ditch, swale, or other improvement adjacent to the street, where the runoff water from the street is directed and conveyed to a catch basin, storm sewer, manhole, or other drainage feature.
(g) “Notice To Repair” means the written notice issued by the City Manager or the duly authorized representative thereof mandating the repair, removal, reconstruction, or abatement of a defect or other condition representing a safety hazard, nuisance, eyesore, or other violation of the established Administrative Guidelines that exist on, around, or within any sidewalk, drivewalk, driveway approach, carriagewalk, or tree lawn area.
(h) “Sidewalk” means the paved portion of the street right-of-way set aside for pedestrian use lying between the established or presumable curb line and the adjacent property line excluding the drivewalk and carriagewalk.
(i) “Sidewalk Replacement Program” means the inspection program that is managed by the City of Wyoming that ensures the systematic inspection of all sidewalks, driveways, driveway approaches, and carriagewalks throughout the City and that identifies and requires the repair of any condition that constitutes a safety hazard, nuisance, eyesore, or other violation of the established Administrative Guidelines relating to any sidewalk, drivewalk, driveway approach, carriagewalk, or tree lawn area.
(j) “Tree Lawn” means the strip of land that may or may not be improved with pavement lying between the established or presumable curb line and the sidewalk where a sidewalk exists or the between the established or presumable curb, line and the property line where no sidewalks exists.
