§ 32.01 ESTABLISHMENT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
   The Fire Department is hereby established to consist of a Chief and a sufficient number of fire fighters, volunteer and paid, to maintain and operate the department. The department and all members, both volunteer and paid, shall operate under the general direction of the Chief. The Fire Chief is appointed by and works under the general direction of the Town Manager. The Board of Aldermen is responsible for providing funding for the operation of the Fire Department and payment of all expenses associated therewith and for establishing policy, procedures and all other matters related to the Fire Department, which matters shall be implemented through the Town Manager and subsequently the Fire Chief.
