§ 94.30 AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY OF FIRE INSPECTOR.
   (A)   The Fire Chief of the town shall serve as the Fire Official as that term is defined in the North Carolina State Building Code, Volume V, Fire Prevention. Provided, however, to the extent that the duties of the Fire Official are delegated to representatives of New Hanover County by virtue of an interlocal agreement between the town and New Hanover County, the representatives of New Hanover County shall assume the responsibilities of Fire Official. The Fire Official, with the approval of the Town Manager, may detail the members of the Fire Department as additional Fire Officials as shall from time to time be necessary.
   (B)   Fire inspections shall be made in the manner prescribed by that person acting as the Fire Official of the town.
