§ 74.24 REGULATION OF PARKING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY PURSUANT TO G.S. § 160A-301.
   (A)   In accordance with the provisions of G.S. § 160A-301(d), the Board of Aldermen hereby regulates the stopping, standing or parking of vehicles in those areas identified in division (E) below.
   (B)   No person may mark any vehicle in any part of an area designated in division (E) below in which parking is prohibited. No parking areas shall be designated by yellow curb markings, no parking signs, or other traffic control devices which indicate that parking is prohibited in the locations and under the circumstances described therein. The owner or person in general charge of the operation and control of the areas shall designated all areas in which parking is prohibited.
   (C)   Parking is permitted only at specified times or for a specific duration within those portions of the areas designated in division (E) below which have been designated as limited parking areas. Limited parking areas shall be designated by signs or other traffic control devices which indicate the circumstances and times during which parking shall be allowed. No person may park a vehicle in any limited parking areas except as allowed by the sign or traffic control device regulating that area. The owner or person in general charge of the operation and control of the area shall designated all areas in which the duration or time of parking is limited or in which parking is restricted to certain vehicles.
   (D)   A change of position of a vehicle from one point directly to another point within the same parking lot shall be deemed one continuous parking period. The parking period shall be as designated on traffic signs erected within the parking lot regulating the parking time limit. It shall be the responsibility of the owner or person in general control of the operation and control of that area to erect such signs.
   (E)   The designated areas subject to the provisions of this section are as follows:
      (1)   Parking lot of the United States Post Office located at 26 Causeway Drive, Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.
