The admission into the public sewers of any water or waste having a five-day biochemical oxygen demand (B.O.D.
5) in excess of 250 mg/l by weight on a 24-hour composite sample basis, will be subject to an excess strength surcharge as stated in § 50.069. Any sample taken with a five-day biochemical oxygen demand (B.O.D.5) in excess of 1,000 mg/l, by weight, will result in the discharger meeting requirements as prescribed in § 50.048, the remedy to be assessed surcharge rates.
