A separate and independent building sewer shall be provided for every building or unit. An exception may be granted where one building stands at the rear of another on an interior lot and it is not economically feasible for the town to construct a public sewer and access point to the rear of the building through an adjoining alley, court, yard, driveway, or other access. In such event, the building sewer may be extended to the rear building and the whole considered as one building sewer. However, if separate water meters service each building or unit, separate wastewater service fees shall be charged to each building.
