§ 74.38.1 LIMITATION ON NUMBER OF VEHICLES PER PARKING SPACE.
   (A)   No more than one motor vehicle or vehicle as defined in § 70.01 may park in any marked parking space within the town limits of the Town of Wrightsville Beach with the following exceptions:
      (1)   Except as otherwise provided in this code, up to four motorcycles as defined in § 70.01 may legally park in a single marked parking space. From March 1 until October 31 and between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., up to four motorcycles as defined in § 70.01 may legally park in a single marked parking space provided the appropriate meter has been activated or one such vehicle displays appropriate receipts indicating that the required fee has been paid for parking through the appropriate pay station. This exception shall not apply to any marked parking space that would normally require a motor vehicle to park parallel to the flow of traffic or parallel to the curb of a sidewalk.
      (2)   Except as otherwise provided in this code, motor vehicles with attached trailers requiring more than one marked parking space to accommodate their length during the period March 1 through October 31 and between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., may park in any parking space where parking is regulated through the use of parking meters, pay stations, pay by telephone or any other electronic or mechanical means provided the required payment is made for each marked parking space occupied by the vehicle and the attached trailer. No such vehicle may park in any fashion that will block or partially block the normal flow of traffic.
      (3)   Recreational vehicles requiring more than one marked parking space to accommodate their length during the period March 1 through October 31 and between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., may park in parking meter spaces or on streets where parking is controlled through the use of pay stations provided that the required payment is made for each marked parking space occupied by the vehicle. Such vehicles may not park in any fashion that will block or partially block the normal flow of traffic.
   (B)   Additional provisions.
      (1)   Except as otherwise provided in this code, during the period March 1 through October 31 and between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., if more than one motor vehicle is parked in a parking meter space and the meter controlling such parking meter space is registering as having paid time, the motor vehicle closest to the meter shall be considered the vehicle legally occupying such space. Any other motor vehicle occupying such space shall be issued an appropriate civil citation for violation of the provisions of this section.
