§ 32.58 RESPONSIBILITY, POWERS, AND DUTIES.
   (A)   The Marketing Advisory Committee shall work in concert with the Board of Aldermen, the TDA, and the Cape Fear Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau (CFCCVB) to develop programs and initiatives to promote the tourism industry in the town.
   (B)   Upon approval by the Board of Aldermen, the Marketing Advisory Committee shall provide annual marketing recommendations to the CFCCVB for inclusion in the annual county-wide marketing plan.
   (C)   The Marketing Advisory Committee shall function in an advisory capacity to the Board of Aldermen and shall meet from time to time with the Board of Aldermen to discuss issues relative to marketing and tourism.
   (D)   The Marketing Advisory Committee shall be provided the opportunity to review and comment on program funding requests that have been prepared and approved by the Board of Aldermen prior to submission to the TDA for consideration.
   (E)   The Marketing Advisory Committee shall work closely with local non-governmental organizations and the private sector to promote tourism that will benefit the community.
   (F)   Neither the Marketing Advisory Committee nor any subcommittee of the Marketing Advisory Committee is empowered to obligate municipal funds, enter into contracts on behalf of the town, or implement town policy without the express approval of the Board of Aldermen.
