§ 74.44 FRAUDULENT USE OF PARKING PERMIT.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to:
      (1)   Engage in parking permit forgery;
      (2)   Engage in parking permit fraud; or
      (3)   Possess a forged parking permit.
   (B)   A person is guilty of parking permit forgery when:
      (1)   With intent to defraud the town, a person falsely makes a purported parking permit; or
      (2)   With intent to defraud the town, a person alters or duplicates an existing parking permit.
   (C)   A person falsely makes a parking permit when he or she makes or draws, in whole or in part, a device or instrument which purports to be a parking permit issued by the town which is not such a parking permit because the town did not authorize the making or drawing, or alters a parking permit which was validly issued.
   (D)   A person is guilty of parking permit fraud when, with intent to defraud the town, a person uses a parking permit obtained or retained in violation of this section or which he or she knows is forged, altered or revoked, for the purpose of parking without depositing any required payment into a parking meter.
   (E)   A person is guilty of possessing a forged parking permit when he possesses, with knowledge of its character, a parking permit made, altered or duplicated in violation of the provisions of this section.
