The intent and purpose of this chapter is to impose a production tax on the removal of aggregate from pits, quarries, or deposits located within the county; establishing reports requirements; providing penalties for failure to comply with the provisions of this chapter; and providing for the distribution of revenues collected under this chapter, pursuant to M.S. § 298.75 (2020), as it may be amended from time to time.
