(A) Initial sign fee. Every applicant shall pay a fee for each sign regulated by this chapter before being granted a permit.
(1) The City Council shall establish the permit fee by resolution.
(2) Except for maintenance, any substantial alteration or relocation of a sign shall constitute a new sign requiring an additional fee.
(3) A double fee shall be charged if a sign is erected without first obtaining a permit for such sign.
(B) Inspection. All sign installations for which a permit is required shall be subject to inspection by the Building Official to ensure that such signs are safely secured, supported and braced.
