Organizations conducting bingo or a raffle under a state or city approved gambling exemption certificate or exclusion are exempt from the local gambling tax under M.S. § 349.166. Such organizations must still obtain a permit from the city and comply with all state law requirements, prior to conducting bingo or a raffle.
