Any items received by a pawnbroker for which a report to the police is required under § 115.07 shall not be sold or otherwise transferred for seven calendar days after the date of such report to the police, unless otherwise authorized by the police. However, an individual may redeem an item that he or she pawned at any time more than 72 hours, exclusive of Sundays or legal holidays, after the item was received on deposit.
