§ 31.20  POWERS AND DUTIES.
   (A)   The Marshal of said town, after first obtaining approval of the Town Council, is hereby authorized to appoint Deputy Marshals and reserve officers who, in executing the orders of said Town Council, shall possess the powers and be subject to the liabilities of said Marshal.
   (B)   In the event the Marshal’s position is vacant, the Council will appoint a Chief Deputy to carry out the said duties of Marshal. While the Town Marshal position is vacant, the Chief Deputy shall receive the same pay and allowances as the Town Marshal.
   (C)   Said Deputies may give bond to said town with surety in the final sum of $1,000 and each Deputy shall be subject to orders of said Marshal.
