The Department of Parks and Recreation shall be under the direction of the Director of Parks and Recreation, who shall be accountable to the City Manager. It shall perform the following duties:
(a) Plan the physical development, management, operation, construction, repair, maintenance and improvement of the parks and recreational facilities and equipment of the City.
(b) Implement and supervise the physical development, management, operation, construction, repair, maintenance, and improvement of the parks and recreational facilities and equipment of the City.
(c) Assist the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board in its work concerning parks and recreation facilities and equipment.
(d) Plan recreational and cultural programs to meet the needs of the City as defined by Council.
(e) Implement and supervise recreation and cultural programs to meet the needs of the City as defined by Council.
(f) Assist the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board in its work concerning recreation and cultural programming.
(g) Perform such other duties as may be required by the City Manager.
