It is unlawful and shall constitute a nuisance for any person to go upon any premises and ring the doorbell upon or near any door of a residence, or knock upon any door, or create any sound in a manner calculated to attract the attention of any occupant of such residence, for the purpose of securing an audience with the occupant(s) to engage in solicitation, each day prior to 9:00 a.m. or after 8:00 p.m., from April 1 through September 30, and each day prior to 9:00 a.m. or after 7:00 p.m., from October 1 through March 31.
