No single driveway or entrance shall exceed thirty feet in width at the curb line in residential districts. Driveways in all other districts may be forty-five feet in width at the curb line. No more than one driveway or entrance shall be permitted to any property abutting any street wherein the property has a frontage of less than 200 feet; however, in hardship cases where the public interest in involved, Council may, upon proper application and payment of the required fee by the property owner or his authorized agent, by resolution, authorize the Director of Service to issue a driveway or entrance permit in excess of 30 feet for residential or 45 feet in the case of all other uses and to issue more than one driveway or entrance permit where abutting property has a frontage of less than 200 feet.
