There is levied and assessed upon the owner or operator of each food establishment that sells food or drink, not for consumption on the premises, such as groceries, markets and vegetable stands, receiving such inspection from the Board of Health of the City, under such regulations governing such inspection, as adopted by the Board, an annual license fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) for an establishment of less than 2,500 square feet of floor space, or thirty dollars ($30.00) for an establishment of 2,500 square feet or more of floor space, due and payable in advance to the Director of Finance on the first business day of each fiscal year.
