(a) No person, knowing it to be false or fraudulent in whole or in part, shall present for payment or certify as correct to the City Finance Director a claim, bill, note, bond, account, payroll or other evidence of indebtedness for procuring its allowance, or an order for the payment thereof out of the City Treasury, or receive payment thereof from the City Treasury if the payment is fraudulent in the amount of less than five hundred dollars ($500.00).
(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
