(a) No person shall operate a motorized bicycle upon a street, highway or any public or private property used by the public for purposes of vehicular travel or parking unless the person is fourteen years of age or older and holds either a valid motor vehicular operator's license or a valid motorized bicycle license issued under Ohio R.C. Chapter 4507.
(b) No person shall permit the operation of a motorized bicycle upon any public or private property used by the public for the purposes of vehicular travel or parking knowing that such operator does not have a valid license as an operator of a motor vehicle or of a motorized bicycle issued to such operator by the Ohio Registrar of Motor Vehicles under Ohio R.C. 4507.

(c) No person shall operate a motorized bicycle upon any street or highway or any public or private property used by the public for purposes of vehicular travel or parking, unless the motorized bicycle displays on the rear of such bicycle the current license plate or validation sticker furnished by the Ohio Director of Highway Safety under Ohio R.C. 4503.191.

(d) Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
