(a) No motor transportation company or private motor carrier shall operate any motor vehicle on any route other than the route provided for in the certificate granted by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio except as provided in Ohio R.C. 4921.14.

(b) Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
