At the first regular meeting (first Monday in May) of each year, there shall be appointed a Finance Officer, Street and Water/Sewer Superintendent and such other officers, as may be provided by ordinance, to hold office until the appointment and qualifications of successors. All such officers shall be appointed by a majority vote of the members elected to the City Commissioners. The City Commissioners may, by resolution, enter into a contract, pursuant to SDCL Chapter 9-14, with an attorney to provide legal services to the city as the City Attorney.
