A permit shall not be issued for a donation box or paper recycling box unless donation boxes and paper recycling boxes demonstrate compliance with the following standards:
A. May only be placed on commercial properties;
B. May only be permitted to public or private schools, churches, hospitals and nonprofit charitable organizations;
C. Shall not be placed within a required parking space;
D. Shall not be placed within a required front or corner side yard, or major arterial setback. To the extent feasible, donation boxes shall be placed in the rear or side of a property so as to be inconspicuous as viewed from public rights of way;
E. Shall not be placed in such a manner as to cause a sight obstruction for pedestrians or motorists;
F. Only one donation box and one paper recycling box shall be permitted per lot or per shopping center, office park or industrial park, whichever is more restrictive;
G. Shall not exceed six feet (6') in height;
H. Shall not possess a footprint exceeding seventy five (75) square feet;
I. Shall be ten feet (10') away from the building; and
J. Shall contain the following contact information in two inch (2") type visible from the front of the box: the name, address, e-mail, and phone number of both the permittee and operator. (Ord. 11-32, 12-6-2011)
