539.24 SIGNALING, STARTING, BACKING AND TURNING.

(a) No person shall start, back or change direction upon a roadway or driveway until such person has given a clear and discernible signal before exercising the movement, and having first ascertained that such movement can be made with safety.

(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
