539.07 FIRES.

   (a)    No person shall start or feed a fire in any park or park and recreation facility except small fires for culinary purposes in park grills or privately owned grills, or in fireplaces constructed for the purpose. The Director may prohibit fires for limited periods at any location and for any purpose when necessary to protect the park or park and recreation property. All fires shall be put out by the person or persons using them before they leave the immediate vicinity of the fire. The dumping of fire or hot ashes onto grass or other vegetation is prohibited.

   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
